I love Sex and the City. Love, love, love the series, love all of the characters and the 1st movie. Ok, now the real reason for this post: Sara Jessica Parker. She doesn't seem to be aging very well as you can see in the pics below. She used to be the fresh faced curly haired girl that could. Now she seems more the what can I do to look good gal who tries to hard - her curls are mostly gone & she is too tan and somehow school marmie. The top picture is from earlier in the series and the bottom picture is from SATC 2.
I always thought she had an amazing body but as she is getting older and with the tanning or fake tanning it is not doing much for her skin.
Sorry SJP this is not a slam because I do love you but give us back the curly headed girl who could.

Yesterday When I was Young
In 2009 I exclaimed this to the world. Not one utterance about my former life until today and that is because last night I dreamed that my ex-husband had not come home the night before and it was 6 am the following morning. I was going to wait for him to come home before I showered for work. Then in a panic I took a shower. When I got out of the shower he was crawling into bed. I asked him where he had been and he said he had stayed with Jennifer McGooGoo. Then I asked if he slept with her and he made an odd gesture with his head and said yes. I slapped his stomach and I told him I was leaving. He said good because he couldn't take it anymore. I stopped and said really? And he went into detail about how poor our marriage was and asked me how long I thought it would last and I said I hoped it would last forever. We hugged and said we loved each other. Then I woke up.
I don't know what triggered these thoughts into my subconscious. The feeling and emotion in the dream was so strong and I could feel the hurt rolling through my body. I was glad to awake and find it was a dream and that I wasn't reliving something I've tried so hard to put behind me.
Stupid dreams.

Jealous, O' Jealous...
I was out of working commission a couple of days last week because I was sunning by buns here at the Caribe.
While my buns were getting toasty I was lubricating my throat (keep those dirty thoughts to yourself) with banana daiquiris.
Don't be jealous now, I drank one for all of you.

Price Survey
Regular gasoline has reached $3.68 - $3.74 per gallon in my area. What about yours? What will you do if it goes above $4.00 per gallon?

And The Sign Says...
FSTRGRL
Was on a license plate with a younger woman driving. What do you think think it says?

Jacob Lusk
I want to fist fight him. The "I just dropped my ice cream" face and his normal speaking voice causes fits of irritant to flow through my veins.
Is that wrong?

So.
A guy walks into a bar and says..actually it was more suitably noted as I was sitting in a restaurant bar and the entertainment for the evening was a guy and his guitar. The entertainer sang What I Really Mean by Robert Earl Keen. Which is a unusal song for this region but I knew it and I was singing along. After the song ended a guy behind me cheered too. We were the only two who had. I turned to see who was yipping along. First glance, I was like get the fuck out! Because the guy looked like this:
Since the guy and his guitar had graced us with a little Texas muzak I offered up a list of requests that was nothing but Texas songwriters. As I was waltzing toward the stage, the Vince Neil imposter asked me to request Detroit Rock City. My response was are you a ruh-tard? But I made the request anyway. The guy and his guitar looked at me like I had teased bangs and said "I am not so sure about this". I said give it your best shot. I went back to my seat and you guessed it...I eventually had to have a chat with the Vince Neil imposter. Of course I said you really favor and he stopped me and said let me guess - Nikki Sixx? Shocked and dismayed I resounded with "eh, not so much but definitely Vince Neil". He asks if he looks that fat? I said no, its your teeth, hair and eyebrows. Turns out he is a studio musician, a drummer, even though he could give me no credits for any real contributions to anything he had done. His name is Dickie Powers. He made mention of hanging with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Shannon Larkin of Godsmack and the New Daisy Lounge in Memphis. I asked him his age and he said how old do you think I am. I said 43. I was wrong by a week. He had turned 44 on Sunday. He was all clad in leather, silver thumb rings and bracelets and had a badass Harley in the parking lot. I know it was badass because I walked right by it in on the way in and I commented on how it hurt my eyes. He shared a couple of pictures with me from his iPhone of Jacoby and Paul Stanley. I in return shared the engagement picture of Nikki and I.
Dickie didn't seem shocked at all. The evening ended and we walked out and said to each other nice to meet you, hope to see you around.
And yes, I googled him when I got home. Nothing.

Two Things
I get most people, most things. I can push back irritation and do so by just ignoring or smiling and nodding but sometimes, sometimes I can't help my mouth.
The first issue is people who sends you an email or instant message and then immediately walks to your office or calls you via the phone and asks "did you get my message?".
The second is people who have to talk in detail about what they need to pack for a trip. My life for the past 3 weeks has consisted of these words 2-3 times per day: all weather coat, light jacket, light sweatshirt, denim jacket, extra jeans, extra medicine, weather, weather, weather. The time this person is going to spend outside would be from the airport to the car, the car to a hotel, the car to a hospital. Possible exposure time (and I am being very generous) 2 hours. I have never ever discussed what I need to pack for a weekend trip or a major vacation. Hell, I even take vacations and tell people I am doing nothing just so I don't have to engage in conversation about MY upcoming vacation. My boyfriend of 7 seven years and I called it quits last year and I even kept that close to my vest. Even some of my family were in the dark. I feel no need to discuss somethings with people I work with or even know.
Is this wrong?

Sing Alone Time
This song was around during my Senior Spring Break. Good times.
Don't wanna wait 'til tomorrow
Why put it off another day?
One by one, little problems
Build up, and stand in our way. Oh
One step ahead, one step behind it
Now ya gotta run to get even
Make future plans I'll dream about yesterday, hey!
Come on turn, turn this thing around
(Right now) Hey! It's your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it's everything
(Right now) Catch your magic moment
Do it right here and now
It means everything
Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin' falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!
The more things you get, the more you want
Just trade in one for another
Workin' so hard to make it easy
Whoa, got to turn. Come on, turn this thing around
(Right now) Hey, it's your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it's everything
(Right now) catch that magic moment
Do it right here and now
It means everything
Said a lie to me
Right now
What are ya waitin' for? Oh! Yeah!
Right now
(Guitar Solo)
(Right now) Hey! It's your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it's everything
(Right now) Catch that magic moment
And do it right, right now (Right now)
Oh, right now!
It's what's happening
Right here and now
Right now, it's right now
Oh!
Tell me, what are ya waitin' for?
Turn this thing around
Right Now ~~ Van Halen

Monday, Monday
Four hours in and this is how my week is looking ...
It has been known to look much worse. Notice my advanced usage of sticky notes. It is how I organize my daily tasks and reminders. Occasionally I will write notes on my palms if I am in between the warehouse and front offices. Oh yeah, I also speak fluent Finnish.
