The husband and I have talked about this, we really can't come up with anything but shell out the extra money. We don't use the car for many trips other than work, so there isn't much of a place to cut back.
It was $3.75 when I got mine this morning - but I got a .15 cent per gallon discount with my Kroger card.
We're really suffering because we moved to a location exactly between our two jobs when Mike got hired at the University where he's teaching. The economy up there is pretty depressed & I have a good paying job. But between the two of us we drive about 100 miles per day - & I don't see that changing any time soon. I'm pretty depressed about it, actually. I should probably look into carpooling.
$4.09 and I am pissed. Think The Hunter and I will not be taking any more road trips for awhile.
I'll pull up when I need gas and put in a 1.25 to get up the street...Now bitch where is my love?

Gas has been over $4.00 for the past week or more, here in SoCal. Pay the price is the only legal, sane response.

What will we do, about rising gas prices? Well, first you have to realize that we are "olden," and don't go far anyway. ,-) Plus, we have a pretty-good-on-gas car. Supposed to be better but...
Anyway, guess we can start to pay more attention to doing errands, which flow in one direction at a time. And do other-direction errands, another day. That kind of thing.
We don't go far regularly and we no longer take car trips. So, that's about that. :-)
