Is It Wrong (I know, one more thing & will it ever stop)

Cooking blogs, home-cooking housewife blogs or blogs in which the authors refer to themselves as Foodies. I get it, really I do. People love to cook. People love to eat. But after watching Julie & Julia - the blockbuster movie involving a girl named Julie Powell who cooks her way through Julia Child's cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking - 524 recipes in 365 days via the blogosphere, I am sure this movie has inspired 100's maybe 1000's of non-blogging self made chef & cheffettes to "blog on" to the cyber world in search of FAME & FORTUNE while trying to become the MacGuyer's of three ingredient recipes. Well good luck you do-gooder's but remember - you're not the leader, you're the follower. Bon Appetit.

*Editor's note ~~ I don't really dislike every blog other than mine. Mine has no rhyme and reason unlike the others I have "dissed" - their content is consistent. Alas, it is a free country which entitles me to free speech so I can whine and disagree as I see fit.

I totally agree with you. I am so boooorrrred with cooking blogs and photo blogs. There are a few really aggressive bloggers out there that just post the same things every day -- *y-a-w-n* -- and they get hundreds of comments.

I much prefer to read blogs where people actually talk about things -- current events, ideas, thoughts, politics, etc.

Recycled photos and recipes? No...! Every recipe known to man is already on the internet -- including entire cookbooks.

I just despise the word "Foodie". It bothers me...

So many of your comments are from people who seem to read and dislike FOOD-BLOGS. Aside for those obsequious snarks, like me, who are here for a dash of sanity. So why do they and you read them. I honestly haven't ever seen one. So I can't chime in with a cheery ME TOO.

I don't like Food Blogs because they just tease me...

Food blogs are boring and mostly masturbatory, that is, done for self enjoyment. However COMMA, I love the Cooking For Assholes blog. That dude is self-righteous but funny as hell. Eat it.

Uncle Tom - I meant everyone but you.

Joe - wow, this is so, so sudden.

Hoochie Mama - Hallejuiah!

Jo - See! You have like a million followers & you never blog about something you whipped up in the kitchen.

Savage - there is no cooking in this blog.

Trey - I like not cooking. It makes me thinner.

Warrior - I don't read them on purpose. I might happen to run across one & it takes about a nano second to realize the content of most blogs at that point I just hit the back button.

JLee - you little foodie, you.

Blase - what is worse - a tease or a whore?

Skitzo - I do agree about the Asshole Cooker - he isn't serious which makes more doable.

Hey! I am masturbatory too!

Foodie is a retarded word and only retards use it to describe themselves.

Cooking is definitely not the biggest part of my life. I enjoy golfing and drinking MUCH more.
