What Would Be Worse?

How many of us take things for granted?  *raises hand* I am a number one granted taker.  I suppose I was built by design to be one.  So my question to you is

What would be worse ----

Losing your fingers or your toes?

Losing your hand or a foot?

Losing a leg or an arm?

Not being able to speak or not able to see?

Loss of hearing or your sense of smell?

I guess if we were really fortunate we were born with all of the above - 10 fingers, 10 toes, two eyes, two ears, nose, two legs, two feet, two hands, two arms but what if we lost any of these today?  I say again I take things for granted.  I complain about my freckles, my big nose, my plumpness & all are very, very small in comparison to someone who has lost a leg or an arm.  Something else I cry & kick dirt about is cleaning my home but the other side to that is  I am glad I have a home to clean & can physically clean it (but if anyone wants to get me a maid service as a gift, well I'd be very obliged).

Once upon a time in a land far away I worked with man who said "you feel sorry for yourself because you have no shoes until you see someone with no feet".  I doubt these words were originally born from his mouth but it lit something in me - how right he was & how bad it could be.
