I heard about Wikileaks weeks ago and honestly I felt like it was just some nerdy, bullied guy who had nothing better to do and decided to hack this or break into that and I thought nothing more of it, I mean after all what can I do with secret government ops?

I was watching a show on the History channel last night about presidential secrets which mentioned Wikileaks. Conspiracies and secrets intrigue me. So I checked it out this morning. I watched a youtube video named Collateral Murder which bothered me because of the way the pilots and "shooters" were speaking and I tried to look at the Iraq War Logs but as soon as I clicked the link my entire Internet shut down. I find that just a little weird.

What do you think about governmental intelligence being accessed by an outsider? What do you think about governmental intelligence being able to be accessed at all?

I can't help but think some things should remain "on the inside". I mean its the government, what can you do? Sure, you can educate the nation but what good will it do? People are steadfast in their political beliefs and stands - some still believe in our government, that it works and its ways are right and I can't touch that with a 100 foot pole.

I have many feelings on this subject. As for weaponry technology and tactics and strategy and troop formations and orders of battle and deployment schedules and routines. Those things must be guarded.

But the back room deals and treaty manipulations and political back biting and every single scrap of paper that passes through the STATE DEPARTMENT should be on a full disclosure basis. Freedom of the press shall not be infringed.

And you ran into a problem with internet access because WIKILEAKS is under a Distributed Denial of Service Attack. No one is sure who is responsible for the attack. But theories range from the CIA to the Massoud in Israel. I believe Hillary Clinton is doing it. But I don't have proof.

Just telling it like it is said...

I agree with Krippled

I'd like to change my answer, under the circumstances as I don't like to go with the crowd.

I don't agree with Kurt.

Kurt does not know what he is talking about.

Not included in WikiLeaks:
Osama's new address.
Included:
Gossip about a Gaddafi's "nurse".
Puh-lease, even our classified information is lame. Threat of WikiLeaks might be a vehicle for politicians and governmental powers to get their shit together.

Free speech is a great thing and censorship really pisses me off but sometimes state secrets really should be secret. Like when people will die if everybody with a laptop knows what you're doing.

We all have the right to know what our governments are doing but we don't always have the right to know exactly how they do everything.

I could go on and on but I already posted about this
