As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches I always think about targeted attacks for that day. How do you feel?

Hmmm... I left home for the office, I would guess, at about the time the first plane slammed into the first tower... and then sometime during my first class, we would hear reports of a 2nd plane into the other tower.
Then at the end of my next class, we would see on TV that both towers were down.
Unbelievable. Shocking..
The world changed for many people the way the world changed for me when John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas when I was a little boy... the way the world changed for many when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
Unfortunately, we have people that wish much harm to this country, regardless of who the president is... regardless of which political party is in power.
I fear we have a long way to go...

being from long island, this anniversary hits an especially raw nerve with me... i lost some good friends that day..
I feel it is about time there was a requiem for those folks who died. there has been nothing. It makes me so sad...
My birthday is 9/12.
